History of The Hydrogen Jukebox

Once upon a time, in a land called Southern California, there was a young man who was soon to graduate from the University of California, Riverside. This young man knew that he was going to be living in the area for some time while he considered where to attend graduate school, and he also knew that he had always wanted to share some "off the beaten path" music with people in the area. So he endeavored to get a radio show on KUCR 88.3fm. And eventually it was so.

Then, about six years later, having worked in a record store, played in a band, returned to UCR, gotten an English MA, and then left to try to get a Ph.D. somewhere else, this no longer quite so young man felt a distinct loss at no longer having his radio show. Instead of getting another one, though, he decided to return to his even earlier format, music reviews, which he had done diligently for two years in high school.

Some time after that, you, dear reader, stumbled upon this site. And that brings us to the present. Clap your hands if you believe in The Hydrogen Jukebox!

Well, another year went by, and I decided to get a radio show again! Whaddya know? Hopefully that'll help spur me into writing occasionally as well... at the moment I'm mostly just reading about music and sound, not writing much.
